Morning :)...
Today is our Dawson's 9th birthday!! We're so thankful to have our "polar bear". Short story...when he was a puppy he was so blonde and fluffy that when our neighbour saw him for the first time she ran to her mom yelling..."they've got a baby polar bear" So ever since then...we have affectionately called Dawson, our polar bear.
He hasn't had an easy life with having cancer when he was 2 yrs old, he's been hit by a car, has arthritus and struggled with other health problems but we couldn't love him more. He is our gentle giant and fierce protector. In the summer we found out that his cancer has returned so we take one day at a time and treasure every moment we have with him. Lately there have been days when I look at him and cry thinking about not having him around so I just try to push that back because I can't bare the thought.
But today we just celebrate our Dawson and how much we love him....how much he enriches our lives....how much joy he adds to our lives...

Happy birthday Dawson! Our golden will be 10 in a few weeks and he has a bunch of health issues that make me so sad. I dread the day that we will be without him, so I try to stay focused on spending as much time with him as possible and keeping him comfortable and happy. Ours is a deep red color and from behind he looks like Snuffleupagus from Sesame Street - LOL. Enjoy Dawson's b-day!

Happy Birthday to Dawson. My Husky, Nika will be 9 on Sunday. She acts like a puppy still. I callher my Teddy Bear because of her adogable face.
