Autumn Thanks & Christmas Tags (yes..that's right..Christmas tags :)

If you've spent any sort of time on my blog you already know that I LOVE Autumn which is closely followed by Winter :) !!! 

So...when I was talking to Shirley about what kinds of cards she would like to do for her "Broads & Brownies" night she thought a thank you would be nice and she also wanted to give her friends & family a head start on their Christmas tags (which I thought was a FANTASTIC idea !!!)

Here is the Thank you card we made and of course I had to throw some Autumn leaves on it :)

Here are the Christmas Tags we made all using the "Tags Till Christmas" set from the Holiday Mini..

Yesterday I took Brooke & Mac to go see Peter Pan on the stage at the Stratford Festival and it was ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY AMAZING !!!!!!  We had a wonderful day !!!!

Today I wanted to share with you the other two projects that we made at our Big Shot club last week :)

We had a chance to play with the Letterpress plates that are NEW in the Holiday Mini !!!!

Here's the card we made with the Lots of Love Letterpress Plate :)

Because the Letterpress plates leave an impression (both in the cardstock and to the eye..hehehe) when you only ink up one part of the plate it still embossing the rest of what is on the plate...

The other project we made was this cute little treat holder using the Two Tags die !!!  Super easy....super cute (my favourite combo :)!!

Last night I had a wonderful evening at Shirley's home for her "Broads & Brownies" night :) !!!

How are ya?????? I hope you're having a good day so far...

Yesterday Mac & I had a "mom & me" day.  Brooke spent the day with a large group of home schooling friends at Marineland so Mac & I went out for lunch and hit a few of our favourite stores (aka Dollarama !!!!)  It was so nice just to head out with her...we had a great time and she always makes me laugh!

Speaking of laughing...I laughed SOOOOO much at our last Big Shot club night ! What a blast !!!  We were suppose to finish up last month but we got together one more time to play with the AMAZING NEW dies from the current Holiday Mini !!!!

I know that I already shared with you awhile ago what my September Thank you cards were going to look like but then...I changed my mind :) !!

Why did I change my mind...well...I just received my "French Foliage" stamp set and that changed everything !!! I LOVE this set...it's so vintage and autumny (yup...new word) and so I changed gears and will now be using this for my September Thank you cards :) 

Autumn is my favourite season so it only made sense that I reflect that in my cards :) after all stamping is about doing what you love!

Goooooooooooood Morning :) !!!  I'm in SUCH a great mood today !!  We had a great day yesterday as ALL the kids (and 5 dogs - our two, Jess & Scott two dogs & Cait & Ben's dog :) were here for the day.  Our day started by all going to church together and then we came home for a quick lunch and then headed over to my sister in law's to celebrate my father in law's 80th Birthday !!!  We had such a great time together ! 

To top off an already perfect day I got to talk to my sweet American sister, Lorri on Skype for almost an hour !!!  I miss her so much but hopefully we'll be able to spend a few days together in January !  Ahhhhhhhh....my heart is very happy !!!

So with a happy heart I wanted to share with you the "thanks" cards I made for Jess & Scott to send out.  I was suppose to have these ready for them last weekend but had the flu and they were so sweet to wait another week to get them.  I wanted to keep them simple as I had so many to make and thanks to inspiration from Angie here's what I came up with :)

"Spooky" Shadow Box Card :) !!

Goooooooood Friday To Ya :) !!!

Today I'd like to share with you the 2nd project my clubbers made this month :) !!!

I LOVE the shadow box cards BUT I wanted to be able to make them even faster.....so the 2 1/2" circle punch is PERFECT !!  The only thing is that you can't centre the punch but I figure for the convenience of making them faster....it's worth it !! I just put extra embleshments on the end that has more space (i.e. I put more bats on this card :)

Gooooooooood Soggy Mornin' to Ya !!!

It is POURING here in South Western Ontario this morning and today is grocery day....oh well....what can ya do???  Old Mother Hubbard (aka me) went to the cupboard (aka the fridge) and guess what??? The cupboard, fridge & pantry were bare :) !!! So.. in spite of the rain I'm off to fill all those cupboards once again :) !!!

I wanted to share with you one of the projects we made at our Stamp Club this month !  We had so much fun on Tuesday evening....I LOVE my clubbers !!!!  They are ALL A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !!!!

This adorable little treat bag idea came from Angie !!!!  The only difference is we used "Greeting Card Kids" (#120633) and we made the sack using our medium envelopes instead of mini lunch bags :)

It's Viddddddddddeo Day for the Roses :) !!!!

As promised....here is this week's video :) !!!  I've had many of you ask me how I made the roses on the Card/Cake Box & Guest Book...well....today is THE day :) !!! 

You'll need your Stampin' Up! Just a couple of things before you view the video...not really sure why but my video is a little blurry at times :(...it does refocus again but there's a few spots when it's not so great.  Also..I said I used Rose Red cardstock...I didn't...it's REAL Red :)

Did I get you all worried with my title today...probably not..since I put a smiley face with it :)!!  I'll explain a little later but for now...

Thanks for all your sweet comments and emails hoping that I would be feeling better soon. It came on so fast...I went to bed Thursday night felt fine and about 15 minutes later I told Kevin I'd be sleeping on the couch because I felt awful...I was up all night being sick (sorry..probably too much detail there for ya) and felt pretty sluggish all day Friday.  Thankfully Saturday I felt better as Kevin and I really needed to work on the downstairs bathroom.  We got it all painted and we both HATED the colour (it was a gallon of something we had in the basement and thought we'd save a few bucks by using it but...it was hideous) so...we picked out a new colour (which we LOVE) and it's now almost all done !! Tonight we're hoping to finish it up (hooking up the new tabs, hanging the new mirror, etc.)  I'll show you the before/after pics as soon as it's done ! I LOVE it..it looks so classy (which is SO not us..hehe) but somehow we pulled it off !!!

Okay...onto being DISTRESSED :) :) !!  Stampin' Up! introduced a NEW distressed kit this year !! It includes a sanding block, 4 ink stain spots, a larger file and three smaller files (to get into tight/small places) and a flat stamp (item#118762)  It's a super cool kit and if you love distressing like I love distressing...this is a must have !!! 

Last week I posted a quick "thank you" card that I made and I decided to make the exact same card again only distress it...here's the result...

 

Here's another card I made using the Distressing Kit!  This one I CASED from the Stampin' Up! website!  They offer us a bunch of video training on new products and this was one of the cards they showed us so...I cased it :)

I used embossed Iridescent Ice (#101930) on the front..here's a close up so that you can see it better :)

Okay...last thing and then I promise to leave you alone..hehehe!
