Gooooooooood Tuesday Mornin' !!!
I really had no intention of taking the long weekend off BUT believe it or not all 5 of our kids where around all weekend long and so I made the best decision and soaked up every moment that Kevin and I got to spend with them. Cait gets married in less than 8 MONTHS and weekends like that will soon be gone...oh my gosh...I have to stop or I'm going to start bawling again !!! We had wonderful family meals together and Ben and Scott spent a lot of the weekend with us also, which was fantastic !!! Ben & Scott stayed over on Sunday night so the boys camped out in Colt's room ! I love waking up in the morning knowing that everyone is under one well loved roof ! I remember when Ben & Scott would come over and it felt like there were so many people in the house... now.....it just feels right to have 7 kids in the house together and I love it when it happens and oh yeah....along with two dogs :) !!! So needless so say...there was no stamping in my house this past weekend ! It doesn't happen often but I don't regret it...the time spent with the kids and Kevin was priceless !!!!
I saw THIS adorable Frankie card on Dawn's blog and I was so excited that she posted a video tutorial for it too !!! I've wanted to make Frankie since I first saw him but I didn't get a chance until my lunch hour today (back to home schooling today so my stamping time is at a premium now :) Isn't this guy adorable !!! I can't believe the genius that came up with this idea but she deserves an award of some kind because it's wayyyyyyyyy tooooooo cute !!!! Here's my take on the original Frankie :)
Supplies: All Stampin' Up! Stamps: Smarty Pants; Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Basic Black, Metallic Silver; Ink: Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss, Elegant Eggplant; Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, My Way Punch, Sponge Daubers, Dimensionals, Permanent Marker (for mouth & scars)
I think he turned out purdy durn cute if I may so so myself !!! :) But....as always I LOVE to hear what you think :)
Designer Paper Sampler Keychain Update: The first group of Designer Keychains is full. I'm now starting a second group and once that group is close to full I'll order more paper and fill those orders as well. If you don't know what I'm talking about (hehehe) CLICK HERE to get full details. If you have any questions or would like to get in on the 2nd group of Sampler Keychains than please feel free to email me and I'd be happy to help :) !!!
For those in the area of Hurricane Gustav & Hanna, please know you're all in my prayers. It's a serious reminder of how truly important it is to hug the ones you love. Take care of each other.
