I hope you all have better long weekend weather than we did here last weekend for our CDN. long weekend !!! It looks like we're in for a beautiful weekend here now though, so I'm good with that !!! Hopefully we'll get home flowers planted this weekend since it will be warmer.
I keep forgetting to share this funny little story with you all....a couple of weeks ago I took all 5 of the kids to have their eyes tested. It's a lot easier to take them at once rather than make 3 appts to spread it out so we usually get quite a bit of attention when people ask if they're all ours :) To which I proudly reply....YES !!!! Anywhooo...we just switched to a new eye Dr. and so you're never sure how they feel about home schooling, large families, etc. So Mackenzie was already in with the Dr. when I got through filling out forms and found her. As I entered the room the Dr. says..."Mackenzie was just telling me that she's home schooled." Okay...here's where I always wait to hear what someone's opinion of home schooling is. She seemed very cool about....wheww !! Not that it matters but it always makes life a little easier. So, she asks Mackenzie if she can read and for some bizarre unknown reason to me Mackenzie says..."no". I almost jumped up and screamed "Mackenzie, what are you talking about of course you can read!!!!....Don't be foolish" But...after many years of parenting and home schooling I didn't freak out and gently reminded Mackenzie that yes indeed she can read. Our poor eye Dr. looked seriously confused but we muddled through that little awkward moment and moved along with the eye exam. Next, she asked Mackenzie is she ever gets headaches, to which Mackenzie replied..."No, not usually....only when my mom hits me with the soccer ball in the head and then everything goes black for about 3 seconds". I died a little. The week before when Mac had soccer practice the coach asked the parents to play a game against the kids. Mac was goalie and as I kicked the ball it hit her right square in the forehead. You can only imagine how badly I felt. Unfortunately Mac had no idea of how badly timed the story was when she shared it with our NEW eye Dr. Thankfully, she laughed. I kept looking in my rear view mirror all the way home expecting to be pulled over by the police and have my children taken away. Kids truly do say the darnest things !!!!

Cute card! TFS! Cute story, too.
I'm sure your daughter did great at her soccer game. She'll do fine as long as mom is watching and not on the other team aiming the ball for her head.....hehehe!
Luv ya,

First of all, I LOVE that card, it is stinkin' adorable and I am sooo making one!!! So, now on to the kids - I have to tell you, I am quite concerned that you are hitting your children with large round rubber things and causing them to black out - I mean, really, Corrinne, there are people who can help you with this......LOL!!!!!! I would have wanted to fall right through the floor...HAH! Don't you just love them??!!!
Try and enjoy the nice weather this weekend, my friend! And guess what??? It's raining here on our long weekend - LOL!
