Good Morning My Friends :)
Can you believe that.. only 27 more days till Christmas !!!! How ready am I for Christmas....ummmmm.....NOT !!! Kevin and I are planning our big Christmas shopping day together for a week from Monday. It's a day the both of us really look forward to....we shop till we drop...we're always in the best mood....and we eat tons of crap while we're out !! I can hardly wait....truly !!
I also wanted to thank everyone for their kind comments about Brooke's new contact lenses. She's doing an incredible job with them and I'm so happy for her. She pops those puppies in and out like there's nothing to it. We had to go out yesterday and run some errands and it was cloudy and snowy but she wore sunglasses the entire time....she's never been able to wear regular sunglasses so nothing was going to stop her from wearing them now....not even clouds and snow !
I wanted to share another tutorial with you (this time pictures :). I've made a lot of the gift card holders.....thanks to PATTY !! If you have any questions please feel free to email and I'll try and clarify anything that's fuzzy :) Here's the one I did earlier last week.
Supplies (All Stampin' Up! unless indicated otherwise): Stamps: All in the Family, Family Accessories, Fabulous Flowers, Simple Serif Alpha; Paper: Cutie Pie DP, Certainly Celery, Rose Red, Whisper White; Ink: Basic Black, Rose Red, In markers I used Blush Blossom, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, More Mustard, Rose Red; Accessories: White Grosgrain, Word Window Punch, 1/2" circle punch
Step #1 - Your Gift Card Base will be 4 1/4" x 11" (I used Celery) and then scored at 3", 5 1/2" & 8"
Step #2 - You will need to decorate on both sides of this piece. I used the flowers from Fabulous Flowers randomonly on both sides. Now fold your cardstock so that it looks like mine and then place a strong double sided tape in the same place I did. You'll want to make like a backwards "C" with the tape but don't put tape at the centre fold of the card...it will make your opening almost impossible to open :)
Step # 3 - Now close card so that the centre pieces of the cardstock are now stuck together (this will form the centre of the card which will be your gift card holder)...sorry it's blurry.
Step #4 - Now the next few pictures will show you how to use the Word Window and Circle Punch to cut the spot that the gift card will go in. You'll want to line up the black edge of your Word Window with the outside edge of the centre piece of your card and punch out the word window (as you see in the picture I didn't punch out the whole punch but rather half way down. You'll do this on both sides.
Step #5 - Now you'll be left with a little "dimple" where the two Word Window punch outs met....this is where you'll use the 1/2" circle punch and just punch that out like so...
Step #6 - All that's left to do is attached the ribbon and the front decorations and this baby is done !!! The ribbon is 16" long and I draped it over the card so that it will tie at the opening and then really taped the front decoration part because this will also hold down the ribbon too.
Here it is....all finished !! I did this one as a Birthday Card Gift Holder....isn't this little girl adorable !! Gotta LOVE that All in the Family Set !!!!
I hope that was helpful for you and I hope you're having a great day !!! See ya tomorrow :)

Thanks for the instructions, that was fabulous and your card was adorable!! I love it.

Great tutorial, Roxy and thanks for doing it the regular way and not by video. Since we can't get high-speed, I can't watch anything by video online.
