It's Saturday !!!! :)

I really love the weekend...I love spending as long as I can in my jammies (I'm still doing housework, laundry, stamping, etc....just doin' it in my jammies).  I love having Kev around the house, just knowing he's home makes me happy :)  ahhhhhhh.....Saturdays :)

I wanted to thank everyone who emailed and posted comments here yesterday about the Round Tab Punch tutorial. You are all so kind and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.  I just wanted to clarify that I didn't come up with this idea..this was shown to us at Regionals last Saturday so I would NEVER want to take credit for something I didn't create.  The card was mine but the idea of how to use the Round Tab Punch came from the geniuses at Stampin' Up!. 

Speaking of Regionals !!  Since I was a helper at the conference I wasn't able to do my make n' takes until today.  There was 6 projects altogether that we were given and today I decided to do the Scrapbook pages.  It was nice to do them today in my own little space. I made a few changes...nothing drastic though.  Hope you like them and again thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog and looking around and I get so excited when you also take the extra time to post a comment....it really means a lot to me !!!

Here is the 6 x 6 page that we did.  We used the stamp set "True Friends" which because of Regionals was placed on my order this week because now I can't live without it:) !!!  My very special friend and fellow demo Lisa got married the week before Regionals and gave me this beautiful picture of her and Rob on their special day.  Isn't she beautiful !!!  The wonderful thing about Lisa is she's beautiful inside and out !!!!  LOVE HER !!!!

This next page is a 12 x 12.  I really liked the layout and I'm going to take a few pics of Kevin and put them on this page but I wanted to show it to you without the pictures first so that you can see the layout better.  We were all given the stamp set "So Much" at Regionals..truthfully it was a set that I didn't really care for....in the beginning...but now that I've played with it..I really like it.

Round Tab Punch Mania !!!!!

Gooooooooooood Mornin' !!!!

I'm in an especially good mood today !!!  I was able to complete all the "where r u" address book and card kits yesterday, so they'll be going in the mail today !!!  I had a really nice evening with the kids and Kev last night..we rented a movie, ate way too much chips, pop and cherry nibs (I know I'll regret eating too much, but we had a blast), tonight is a 48 Hours marathon (my favourite show....I know I'm warped but it's my only vise) THREE STRAIGHT HOURS of all new episodes !!! and...my dear daugther, Jessica bought me Cherry Blossoms (yummmmmmm) to eat while I watch it tonight !!!  I'm so excited !!!

Okay in your head you need to be singing the intro song from Monday Night Football (the one Hank Williams Jr. sings)...you know....Are you ready for some football...okay but now I want you sing that same tune but these words....Are you ready for some punching !!!  Okay...I was singing it in my head so I wanted you to do the same :)...that's what friends are for.

Anywhoooo.....Watch in amazement as I show you TWO NEW WAYS to use your Round Tab Punch on the same card (like you need any new reasons...this punch is incredible...love love love it !) That's right you heard me correctly....two new ways on the SAME card.  Please pace yourself through this little tutorial so that you don't pass out in excitement.

Here we go...

This is my card front that I'm working with.  It's a 3x3 card that I've layered "Fall Flowers"DP with.  Now..take your Round Tab Punch and punch out a tab right smack dab in the middle of your cardfront.

Now you're going to punch another tab but going the opposite direction.  You will see when you're punching this second tab how it lines up with the first one to punch out and make a perfect circle (TIP:  try this first on some scrap paper to find the "right spot" for where to punch out the second tab)

Can you say.....Holy Smolly Macaroni !!!  Now...here's the next way...is everybody still okay.  I haven't lost anybody through hyperventilation...alright we're moving on now. 

Punch out TWO Round Tab Punches and layer them over each other to create a circle !!  It's a perfect circle to layer underneath the scallop punch and it's so quick and easy !!!  I love my coluzzle BUT this is so fast and perfect for making circles !!!

Here's how I finished up the card.  I used the Dotted Autumn stamp set for this card.  It's such a cute set and I've used it a lot !!!

Double Pounch Gift Bag Tutorial :) and Christmas Stamp a Stack is FULL !!!

Good Morning One and All :)

FYI - As of this morning the October 20th Christmas Stamp a Stack is FULL !!!  I have officially closed registration for this event...BUT....if you can't attend and would still love to do the projects and receive the stamp set, kits are available !!!   Email me     and I'll get you "hooked up".  We're going to have quite the party with 50 LADIES and each and every one of you is amazing so it's gonna be a great day !!!!

As promised...here is today's tutorial for the Double Pouch Gift Bag that I posted on Monday...you'll want to check back tomorrow too because I'll be showing you some super cool tricks with your Round Tab Punch !!!  What's that....you don't have a Round Tab Punch yet....well, you'll want one after tomorrow !!!!

I used Dashing DP on my original bag but for the tutorial I used a plain sheet of 12 x 12 Old Olive so that you would be able to see the score marks easier.

Step #1 - Score your 12 x 12 page along two opposite ends at 1".  I marked the score marks with black marker so that you can see the score marks easier.

Step #2 - Run a line of double sided tape down the inside of each of those 1" ends and then fold them over.  The next two pictures show you what I mean.

Step #3 - Now turn your paper and at the opposite ends that you just folded over score the opposite ends at 3 1/2" at each end.

Step #4 - Now turn your paper back again the other way so that the 1" ends that you folded over are running up and down (north and south).  You will now make another score mark down the centre at the 5" mark so this score line will run the opposite direction of your 3 1/5" marks.

 

Step #5...you're just about done so keep up the good work...I'm proud of ya... On opposite sides of the 5" score mark that you just made, you'll want to score again 3/4" on each side.

Step #6 - Take each of the 3 1/2" line and fold them into the centre and run a couple lines of double sided so that when you tape it together it forms a tunnel.  The next few pics should explain what I mean.

There's light at the end of the tunnel now and I promise it's not a train !!!  Just fold your "tunnel"  hehehe....get it....light at the end of the tunnel.....fold your tunnel !!!  Okay let's get "back on track"  oh my gosh I'm cracking myself up today !!!  Seriously now....fold your tunnel piece so that it's mountain and valleys look like this (notice that the ends that joined together are facing up).

If you'd like to place a little piece of tape between your pouches to hold them together you can easily do that.  Here's what it looks like all ready to decorate and another pic of the one I did on Monday.  I put a package of Gourmet Hot Chocolate in each of the pouches.

Okay Bedokey....on to stamping stuff now :)  I've had these adorable little bandaid tins FOREVER !!!  I had some scrap pieces of Creepy Crawly (which I absolutely love) so I used them to decorate my tin.  It came together super fast and thought it would make a nice teacher's gift (hey...that means I get to keep it (we home school :)

Since I'm showing a Hallowe'en project today, I thought I would also show you this super cute 6 x 6 scrapbook page that sweet Maureen Koprowski gave me.  Isn't it adorable !!!  What's also so sweet is that Maureen gave this to me even though I had nothing to swap back to her at Regionals !!!  I didn't get a chance to make swaps and Maureen completely blessed me with giving this to me !!!  Enjoy !!!

 

Long post today, eh?  Well I've got lots to say today :)  Last night was the first night for my Stamper's 6 Club and they are a great bunch of ladies.  I was so excited to see how everyone becames friends right away !!  I'm really looking forward to the next 5 months with all of them !!  I love my clubs... all of these ladies add so much to my life and I'm so thankful for each one of them.

Last thing for today...if you noticed the tag on my Double Pouch Gift Bag yesterday you would have seen a large circle window on the front of my 3 x 3 card....well.....you're going to want to check by over the next few days as I'll be sharing some AMAZING tricks that we learned at Regionals and one of them is how to make that circle WITHOUT using a coluzzle !!!  WOW !!!!

Holy Smolly Macaroni !!!!

I REALLY had a great time at Regionals on Saturday !!! I was inspired by a ton of demos, samples & make n' takes !!!  I  had the amazing priviledge of helping out at Regionals.  I met some of the leadership from Stampin' Up! and let me tell you...they are all complete sweethearts !!  Even though at the end of the day I was pretty exhausted (I made this not so intelligent decision to stay up all night the night before because I had to get up at 4:00am anyways and I thought it would be easier...so I did housework, laundry, etc. and then rolled out to Hamilton from that)....okay....not so smart but oh well :)  When I got home I was pretty overwhelmed from the day and  tired but when Sunday rolled around and I was able to digest everything I had seen and learned.....I WAS RE-ENERGIZED !!! We learned this super cute little double pouch bag that uses one sheet of 12 x 12 (watch here for the tutorial for this on Wednesday!!!).  All night I kept waking up thinking of ways I was going to make and "tweak" this bag and here's what I came up with.  I'm pretty excited about it and I even made up the little poem myself !!!  Take a look and let me know what you think.

Good Morning My Friends :)

Okay....I'm a little excited this morning !!!  I'll be on my way to Hamilton for the Stampin' Up Regional Conference tomorrow !!!  It's ALWAYS so much fun and I'll be coming home with a TON of new ideas and projects to share with all of you !!  The only sad part is that I won't be seeing my sweet Miss Dawn this year.  Many of you know Dawn Griffith and have benefitted greatly from her talent you can see her blog  here     She's unable to attend this year and I'm going to miss her like crazy !!!  So...big hugs out to you Dawn.

This is the second project that my girls did at our club night on Wednesday....have I told you how much I love these girls...I think I have :)  Anywhooo....We combined a couple of techniques on one card with this one.  We did the stamping on acetate plus we embossed the snowflake on the front with silver EP.  Splitcoast posted a tutorial for this card   here

Goooooooooood Mornin'

Last night was my Stamper's Club night and I have to say that no matter how tired, grumpy or sad I may be I am ALWAYS in a good mood after spending an evening with them !!!  They truly are wonderful and incredible women and I count it a priviledge to call them all my friends now !!!  Last night I was just tired but they all re-energized me and best of all...made me laugh...thanks my girlies :)    I'll be  starting another Stamper's Club in January so if you're local and interested you can    email me   and I'd be happy to give you more details.

On Saturday I will be at the STAMPIN' UP! REGIONAL CONFERENCE !!!!!!  This will be my third one and they are always unbelievable experiences. I always learn a ton of stuff, get pics of really great samples, we get a free stamp set, make n' takes, door prizes and oh yeah...they FEED US !!!!  It's every stamping woman's dream day !!!  I was asked to help out at the conference and I'm so excited to do so.  I'll have to be in Hamilton by 7:30am but it will be worth it !!  I'm getting my bud, Kezia up bright and early to travel up with me but I've bribed her with buying coffee !!!  Love ya for it, Kezia :)

This is one of the cards we did at club last night which is where the "baaaad to the bone" came from this morning.  I LOVE the "Creepy Crawly" paper and the "Batty for You" set...sooooo cute.  It's a no-brainer that this set completely lends itself to googlie eyes.  Hope you like it....let me know what you think?  Have a great day my friends and hug the ones you love !!!

Life is busy so make Christmas Ornaments

Mornin'

I know you are like me and life is very busy...I don't get to spend as much time as I'd like stamping (but then again when is it ever enough time stamping :).  Nothing is wrong with life it's just sooooooo busy, I'm not complaining, I'm  just realizing I can't get everything done in a day that I hoped I'd get done (sound familiar?)...which is also why I LOVE the stamping family because at the times when I'd love to stamp but don't have the time to "create" something original I can look to so many other women who are gifted and talented and get incredible inspiration from them.  Hence.....today's project :)  I saw these snowman ornaments on Lynda's BLOG  and instantly fell in love with them (I'm a sucker for snowmen anyways)  I couldn't find orange wire but was happy to get red wire at the dollar store last night !!!

A gift for the person who has everything

HHHHHHHHHHHappy Monday !!!

Sorry I'm posting late today but I went out my dear Dad this morning to run a few errands and then I treated him to Cora's Restaurant for lunch !!!  YUMMMMMMY !!!  It was a belated birthday lunch but he's such a forgiving guy and understood the delay in getting out for lunch.  I love spending time with him and always look forward to "catching up" with him. 

Okey Bedokey today's project is one I started last week and it's actually not completed but I wanted to share it with you all anyway.  I got these watchmaker's tins a long time ago at Lee Valley (not sure if you have these in the U.S. but it's a wood workers/gardener/hobby store....very cool stuff in there.  Then I saw on Nichole's blog how she used a similar tin to make   this    and I KNEW I had to make one for myself.  I actually made 10 circles on mine (remember I have 5 kids :) and they can be used on both sides making room for 20 circles for either journaling or for pictures.  I thought this would make a great Christmas gift for those "hard to buy" for people.  You can either fill it with pics of your own family to give or give it to someone empty and they can fill it up with their own family thoughts, memories and pictures.  Anywhooo....I really liked this idea and wanted to share it with you all today.

Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Fire !!!! I got to play with my "Merry & Bright" set today (for the first time) and seriously it took me 30 seconds to mount the set because they're DIE CUT !!!  They pop out....they go on the wood....VOILA !!!!  Here's a pic of the rubbah :)  This is also the set that YOU will receive at the Christmas Stamp a Stack Event or by ordering a kit!!!  This set is sooooo cute, I absolutely love it !!   You can view the details of this event  HERE    I have only a couple of spots left if you'd like to attend on October 20th...please     email me    to find out about availability.
