Happy Holiday Monday !!!
I have to admit I don't know if it's also a holiday in the U.S. but it is here in Canada !!!
My older three kids just got back from a camping trip together and they had a great time and I'm now doing a pile of laundry (I know they should do it but I'm a bit of a freak that way and I like EVERYTHING washed, which I know they won't do !!!) They're great kids and I really don't mind.
Okay here's some news I also want to catch you up on too...very exciting (at least for me). I got an email yesterday from our Team Leader, Alicia Ryckman (sweetest, kindest, most generous woman) posting her top 10 Sellers for 2007 and guess what...I MADE THE LIST...I'M ACTUALLY #4!!!!. I cried, I was so excited !! I love what I do and this is just icing on the cake for me. Then Stampin' Up had their yearly super fantabulous convention in Denver (I'm really hoping to go next year in Salt Lake City) and everybody who attends gets this really cute Stampin' Up Bag but this year they also are selling them to demonstrators who couldn't attend so I really wanted one and guess what.....Alicia emailed me and said she bought one for me for being in her Top 10 !!! Guess what.....I cried again :) I really, truly, honestly LOVE what I do (have I said that before?)...I love the business, the people, the craft, the product, the support, the discount, the extra income....everything !!! If you ever think you'd like to talk to me about joining our Stampin' Up! family please feel free to ask me anything!!!
But, enough gushing....here is my tutorial for this week. At convention Shelli Gardner (may she live forever)CEO and co-founder of Stampin' Up! demonstrated this super cool and easy technique and I wanted to share it with you...so grab a couple of supplies and let's make ICE !!!!
Supplies: Crystal Effect, Dazzlin' Diamonds & Wax Paper
Step #1 - Take your wax paper and with the Crystal Effect make a straight line (any length you'd like mine is approx. 4").
Step #2 - Now take more Crystal Effects to make the actual icicles. I started at the top of the line and pulled down while gently squeezing while trying to get the effect of thinning out the Crystal Effects as you get near the bottom. I also did single icicles too...they're done the exact same way but there's no line joining them.
Step #3 - If you like it really glittery like I do :).....POUR your dazzlin' diamonds all over the Crystal Effects but if you like it very subtle just kind of sprinkle it over the Crystal Effects.
Step #4 - Wait about 5 - 10 minutes and then shake off any excess Dazzlin' Diamonds and then leave to dry for a few hours. Once it's fully dry (if it's gummy..it's too soon...I know it's hard to wait but be patient) just peel off of the wax paper and attach it to your project using glue dots. I actually made mine the night before so that I wouldn't play with it too soon.
Here's the card I made with my icicles and tomorrow I'll post a card using just the single icicles. Hope you like....let me know what you think. Have a great day my friends :)
Supplies: Stamps: Big on Christmas, Bold Snowflakes Jumbo Wheel; Cardstock: Dashing DP, Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White; Ink: Versamark, Real Red; Accessories: Old Olive 5/8" Grosgrain, White EP, Dazzlin' Diamonds, 2 way glue

OMG - how much do I love this!! How freakin' cute!!! :) I LOVE that card, it is DARN cute!!! WOW - you're a genius!!!
