Oh my gosh !! I had SOOOO much fun last night with my upline....the ultra amazing and wonderful Alicia Ryckman !!! Alicia invited her 1st level downline out for dinner last night and WOWZA !!! What a dinner we had !!! We ate at a BEAUTIFUL french restaurant downtown and exchanged gifts and Alicia had generous gifts for us as well !!! What a woman !!!! I hope my downline girls are going to be content with a post Christmas potluck and some fun make n' takes :) !!!!!

I had so much fun making this card....it just kind of came together as I was putting it together. I didn't have a layout in mind, colours or anything....the one thing I did know was that I wanted to use "Love Bandit" from the upcoming Occasions Mini !!!! Oh yeah....have I mentioned before..THEY'RE ACRYLIC !!!!! Wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much to use and play with ! I feel my mojo coming back and I think the good news about Scott & Jess and new stamps :) has helped tremendously !!!!!

We are absolutely THRILLED to welcome another son-in-law into our family !!!! Kevin and I lovingly gave Scott our blessing to ask Jessica to be his wife !!! Scott is a wonderful man and we love him dearly ! We absolutely know that God led the two of them together and are so thankful that they're greatest desire is to serve Him in all things !!! WE'RE ALL SOOOOOOO EXCITED !!!!!!!!!
Okay....here are the details !!
- Scott invites Jessica to his home for a spaghetti dinner (Jess doesn't think anything of it...no biggey)
- He asks Jessica to go the grocery store to pick up a jar of Ragu as it seems he overlooked getting that :)
- She's a little cheesed off since since she's watching the newest episode of "Say yes to the dress"....hehehehehe
- While she's getting the Ragu he quickly changes into a suit and lays candles from the back door to the living room where the candles form a huge heart and her ring is inside the candle lit heart.
- He takes a knee and asks our daughter to be his wife !
- After she accepts he led them both in prayer for God to direct and guide their new future together !!!!
ISN'T THAT BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!!!
Mid-August 2010 we'll welcome another son into our family !!

It absolutely warmed my heart and today...I'm feeling good...no..I'm actually feeling great !!!! I have to share what happened yesterday. My brother, Marv, who has been building a log home up North all Spring, Summer & Fall called me yesterday. He'd heard that our Kitchen reno had been put on hold and said he was going to come down for the weekend and help Kevin and my dad build our kitchen cupboards !!!! Can you believe it !! He lives two hours away & he's trying to build his own home and he's now coming here to help us !! You gotta know I had a good cry over this one !! The men in my family are HUGELY talented craftsmen and I wouldn't trust anyone else but my dad, brothers and husband to make my cupboards. I'm absolutely overwhelmed by his generosity and love for us. As I was laying in bed last night I was thinking over my life and my family and these words came to me and I wanted to share them with you...
Many are born into great wealth but I was born into great love...my life is far richer and sweeter than any wealth could have ever acquired...

I know I've been MIA this past week and I do apologize for that...our life has been more chaotic than usual with the kitchen reno and some personal issues that have required my time and energy. With everything going on my stamping time has taken a beating. Today I knew I had to create something, even if it was only for a few minutes. Isn't it wonderful how something like stamping can take you away to a place for a little while and you can just lose yourself. I know you all understand how life can get and there are seasons that are more difficult than others. Having said that I want to reassure you that Kevin and I are good, in fact...we're very good....we are just very burdened for someone right now. I have to admit I hesitated letting you all know about this time in my life right now but, something I value is transparency with my friends and I knew you would expect that from me as well. My God is a BIG God and I know he hears my prayers. One of my most treasured scripture verses right now is Romans 8: 26-28..."And the Holy Spirit helps us in our distress. For we don't even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts know what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them." What a complete blessing to know my God goes before me....will give me wisdom.....will give me the strength I need.....will carry me through every season of my life......will answer my prayers......will be my sustaining rock in every situation. I can wake up every morning and face whatever challenges lie before me because God has already gone ahead me !!! I hope and pray you have that same comfort in your life.
Like I said.....stamping is often my therapy :) I've had these tag ideas in my head for awhile and finally had a chance this morning to work on them. Here's what I came up...

My dear sweet friend Mary Beth sent me this BEAUTIFUL Christmas card this week......she absolutely made my day !!! Which also reminded me I need to get mine done too :) !!!! I love Mary Beth dearly.....she's an absolute sweetheart !!!
Thanks for letting me ramble this morning....you guys are the best ! I really am okay...today is actually a good day and I'm feeling a sense of peace, that I know my Heavenly Father has given me. I'm hoping to do some more stamping this afternoon once we're all done our schoolwork.

Kitchen Update: Kevin is drywalling today...we had a bit of a stand still in the kitchen but we're back on track today :) !!
Today I FINALLY had a chance to steal away in my little stamping space to stamp for a little while. It sure felt good to just stamp for fun and enjoy being alone for a few moments :) It's definitely a time of refreshment for me !!

A good friend of mine emailed me a link to a video that she found and wanted to share it with me. I wept as I watched this video of a drama from the church "Lifehouse". What a vivid reminder of how God not only watches over us and protects us but He also FIGHTS for us !!! What a beautiful reminder of how He fights over those we love...

Here's her adorable card using Holiday Lineup but she used the Elves...how cute is this !!!!! She put together the entire card by herself....I only precut the cardstock..she did everything else by herself !!!!

So......the kitchen reno is going well but with all DIY jobs it takes a lot longer. Poor Kevin...every evening and weekend is about reno's but he's doing a great job and I'm so excited about what the end result will be!
Right now we're gutted....hehehe....the kitchen that is :) ! I'm going to share a "during" picture...bare in mind...this is an old house and what lies behind cupboards is sometimes a little scary :) We're all coping well with living out of kitchen boxes and making do with a gutted and very ugly kitchen right now. We're hoping by the weekend to have all the drywalling done and be ready for painting the walls and tiling the counter :) !!! How exciting !!

How you doin' today? :) I'm doing good in spite of being in the middle of a kitchen gutting !! Yup...you know how it goes...you say "we'll just repaint the cupboards and paint the walls and before you know it....you're gutting the kitchen !!! We definitely didn't want/plan this but once I emptied all the cupboards to get ready for painting we realized our very, very old cupboards had serious structure problems that would only get worse We knew they were bad but they were much, much worse than we thought ! We live in a home that is almost 120 years old and the cupboards are 50+ years old ! The upside of all of us is this thankfully my incredible husband & dad (whose away golfing right now and doesn't know we'll be asking for his help yet :)...love ya Dad !!) can do the work of making the cupboards and installing (otherwise we would just be repainting cupboards :) I have to admit...I'm pretty excited !!! Kevin and I ripped out the top cupboards last night and tonight we'll do the counter and bottom cupboards !!! I'm taking pictures so I'll show you before/during and after pictures :) !!!
Anywhoooooo.....on Monday night about 20 ladies gathered under the leadership of our fearless leader Alicia Ryckman !!! to make our very own technique books !!! Oh my gosh !!!! I love mine !!!!! I'm DEFINITELY going to offer this as a class in the New Year !!!! I was asked to (wo)man the Rock n' Roll table so I wanted to make a few cards to have on hand that I've used this technique for to show the ladies.
