I really shouldn't do this but I'm giving a Sneak Peek to one of my monthly clubbers projects for this month :) :) !!!

You may have already seen several cards out there on other Blogs and Pinterest showing the "sunburst" technique! 

I really wanted to show my clubbers how fun and easy this technique is so this is one of the cards we're making this month !!! :) :) 

Since Mackenzie is graduating Grade 8 this year I thought it was appropriate to make it a Grad card for her :) !!

Tonight tonight and I are driving to the Stratford Festival to see "Fiddler on the Roof" !  I can hardly wait !!!!  :) :) :)

My mom update :) June 15th Stamp a Stack Sneak Peek! :)

My Mom Update :) - First....I can't thank everyone enough for all your kind comments and emails about my mom!  I'm VERY happy to report that she's doing very well!! The occupational therapist came by the house today and was very pleased with my mom's progress...way to go Mom!  Way to go, God !!!

I celebrated both my birthday and Mother's Day this past week but my biggest celebration was my Mom!!! Best birthday/Mother's day gift ever is seeing her do so well!!!

For the first time since last Friday I actually felt like stamping! :)  So I guess you could say my mom inspired today's card...especially the wording !!!!

It's also a Sneak Peek #1 for the June 15th Stamp a Stack :)!!!!

Something I wasn't expecting...

On Friday evening Kevin and I spent the evening celebrating a dear friend's birthday while Brooke and Mackenzie went to the movies.  We all came home laughing and talking about our evening and how much we enjoyed a great night out.  We were all heading up to bed when I noticed that someone had left a message on the answering machine and I couldn't believe the words I was hearing as the message was from my Dad..."Corinne...it's Dad.  They just took mom the hospital by ambulance and I'm on way there now.  It looks like mom has had a stroke." In the matter of a few short seconds I felt like my world had been turned upside down.  I remember thinking....no...not my mom.  Dad must be mistaken.  But Dad wasn't mistaken and an MRI confirmed she had a stroke....thankfully a small stroke.  The stroke affected the part of her brain that deals with speech and language and we're so fortunate and blessed that most of her speech has returned and she will be working with a speech therapist to help with any lingering effects from the stroke.  We also found out my mom has a heart arrhythmia...something we didn't know before.  This could have played out much differently considering she had blood clots and heart arrhythmia and we KNOW how completely blessed we are !!!!  She is now on medication to thin her blood due to the blood clots and medication for her heart and very happy to report she is now at home resting after 5 days in the hospital.

Never have I meant this more then I do today....hug the ones you love...

Lots to share....now that my migraine has subsided!

For those of you (like myself) who get migraines you know a quick change in the weather can bring on some doozie migraines and since we went from winter to almost summer like weather in the span of two days my head has paid the price!  Which is why on top of a crazy schedule and a migraine I have yet again been MIA.  I feel like today my migraine is almost 75% gone but I'm still having some lingering effects and hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to say it's 100% gone!

On a much brighter note...Cait & Kendall were in town for a couple of days  :) :) :)

On Tuesday night we had our "Spring Themed" Class and I had such a great time with all the ladies that attended!  The weather plus being in a room of wonderful women sure made me Spring Happy !!!!

Here's the Free Class projects that everyone made !!!  Each lady got to make 6 Fancy Fold 3 x 3 cards PLUS 6 Matching Envelopes PLUS an adorable box to put them all in !!! :)

Believe it or not...I actually took a few pictures today too !!!  Taking this picture made me realize how much I've missed it.  Which means...I need to make sure I make time for this too !!! :)

Well I think that gets us all "caught up" for now :)  I hope you're having a great day and enjoy whatever life bring you !

On Monday night I had a great evening stamping with Ann & Lorie and their friends for a Stampin' Up Parrrrrrty !!!!!

Here is one of the cards we made using the Round Array Stamp Set & Coordinating 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch !!!

One of my sweet clubbers (aka Christine :) has had to miss the last few months of club because of other commitments BUT she was here on Tuesday night (man I missed her!!!!) and she brought me flowers !!!!!  How sweet was that !!!!

Grandbaby updates: Kendall is almost 18 months and Cohen is 13 months !! Jessica is due with our next grandson in 6 weeks !!!!!  Caitlin is due the middle of August with our 4th grandbaby (girl or boy???) !!!!!!

I get to see Cait & Kendall on Sunday so I'll have some new pics to post !!!! :)

Thanks for stopping by today...I know I've been a little sporadic lately and I apologize for that!  I promise to get better at that :) !

I'm back...again :)

It's been a crazy/busy/wonderful week so far!!! 

Last night was clubber's night and we were a small group but we had so much fun !!! LOVE LOVE LOVE my clubbers !!!!!

We made a mother's day card (which I'll share next week) but my favourite card this month is the Slider Card we made !!!!

I have always loved Slider cards but they weren't the easiest to make the "track" for the card to slide on....until I watched THIS by my sweet friend Dawn Olechefske !!! I seriously FREAKED OUT!  I COMPLETELY cased her card...hahaha...why mess with perfection is what I always say!

I am SOOO happy with the projects that my clubbers are making this month that I can't help myself and share one of them with you....even before some of my clubbers make it :) !!!

I used the sample in the Spring Mini on page 16 as my inspiration for this project :)  I wanted to create a belly band to hold the pocket closed instead of using bakers twine.  I'm really happy with how it turned out. It will fit a gift card perfectly !!!

We "kidnapped" Kendall this past weekend and LOVED LOVED LOVED every moment we had with her !!!!  She was definitely a "Grampy's girl" and had a mini meltdown everytime he left the room.  Do you think Kevin loved every moment of that?????? YUP !!!!!! :) :) :)

I found her soother on Monday, that I forgot to pack and had a teary moment...miss her so much !!!!

She fell in love with Aunt Brooke's stuffed penquin...it's actually bigger than her!

Thank you Lord for grandchildren !!!!!!
